The idea for a scientific beverage brand began during the 2020 COVID lockdowns, when Cameron Bravo picked up beverage making as his pandemic hobby, and Krishna Choudhary, his classmate from UCLA Physics PhD days, became his unofficial taste-tester. In 2024,

they decided to become business partners, and with the help of Robert Newman, Cameron's childhood friend and small business owner,

the three scientists launched Standard Model Beverages, Inc.

Cameron Bravo holds an undergraduate degree in physics from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, and a PhD in high energy

experimental particle physics from UCLA. His work involved finding exotic new forms of matter high-energy particle colliders,

including the ones at CERN, in Geneva, Switzerland, and SLAC, affiliated with Stanford University.

Krishna Choudhary holds an undergraduate degree in physics from Princeton University, and a PhD in biological physics from UCLA.

His work involved using principles of statistical mechanics to analytically model complex neurological phenomena.
